EVERETT LEADS SYDNEY'S MARDI GRAS
English actor RUPERT EVERETT led Sydney's annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Australia on Saturday night (03MAR07).

The openly-gay MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING star was the parade chief of the event, which took over the Oxford Street region of the city and attracted a 350,000-strong crowd.
Everett used the event to address the international fight for gay rights, saying, "I think it's time for us to give back, to care about each other, and to fight for others - gay and straight - who ... don't have a voice just when they most need to be heard."
The actor was joined by 250 KYLIE MINOGUE lookalike drag queens.
