JAPANESE POP STAR SPLITS FROM HUSBAND
Japanese singer HIKARU UTADA has filed for divorce from her photographer husband, blaming differing outlooks and their hectic work schedules for the split.
The pop star, 24, has been married to KAZUAKI KIRIYA, 38, for four years, but filed for an end to the marriage in court on Friday (02MAR07).
Writing on her website, Utada explained, "We have both experienced change and gradually developed differences in our future visions and in what we are looking for as a couple.
"Another main reason was that we could not communicate well as we both work internationally."
Utada made her chart debut in Japan at the tender age of 15 and has since produced English records.
