MORETTI WANTS BARRYMORE BACK

THE STROKES drummer FABRIZIO MORETTI has been left devastated by his break-up with DREW BARRYMORE and is desperate to win her back.

Moretti, 26, and Barrymore, 32, split last month (JAN07) after nearly five years together, and a source tells American publication Us Weekly the Strokes drummer wants a reconciliation.

According to the publication, the drummer was overheard talking about the actress at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont hotel, saying he "would do anything to get her back."

And he stated he was still confused about why the actress ended their relationship.

A source close to Barrymore says she wanted to reconcile "for a minute" but has since reconsidered because she now "loves being single."

Appearing on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN earlier this week (13FEB07), Barrymore said of the break-up, "Our lives took different directions with all the love and respect in the world."

Moretti has recently been romantically linked with SPIDER-MAN star KIRSTEN DUNST.
