Tragic ANNA NICOLE SMITH's romantic life has hit the headlines again after photos of her getting intimate with Bahamian Immigration Minister appeared on the front page of the islands' top newspaper.
In the revealing shots, which appeared in The Tribune of Nassau yesterday (12FEB07), a fully-clothed Smith appears to be embracing Minister SHANE GIBSON in bed.
Gibson, who approved the former Playboy Playmate's application for permanent residency in The Bahamas last year (06), has come under fire for giving Smith special treatment.
The model/actress' residency has come under question after developer G. BEN THOMPSON stated the home Smith claimed she owned in her application belonged to him.
Thompson, who once dated Smith, has stated he had not given Smith the house as a gift, as her lawyers have asserted. Thompson is attempting to reclaim the house.
Meanwhile, the Tribune shots of Smith and Gibson were reportedly taken in Smith's bedroom. The newspaper editors reported they had obtained the pictures from an unidentified source.
Bahamian opposition leader HUBERT INGRAHAM said he was looking into the matter yesterday (12FEB07).
In a statement, Ingraham said, "My colleagues and I have been saying from the very beginning of this whole sordid affair that the fast-tracking of a Bahamas permanent residence permit for the late Anna Nicole Smith by Immigration Minister Shane Gibson was quite inappropriate.
"She was not, in our view, a person who should have been afforded special consideration for this privilege in our country."
