DANGER MOUSE ABANDONS ALBARN

Producer DANGER MOUSE abandoned British singer DAMON ALBARN in the middle of a recording session when side project GNARLS BARKLEY became a hit - but the former BLUR frontman insists he didn't fall out with his pal over the episode.

The star was working with the Gnarls Barkley star on a new album with band THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE QUEEN last year (06) when track CRAZY exploded into a worldwide success - but the attention diverted producer Danger Mouse's attention from the task in hand.

However, Albarn insists there's no hard feelings between the pair, and even admits to falling for his collaborator's "seductive" song.

He says, "Brian (BURTON, aka Danger Mouse) was trying to concentrate, but I had to lock him away. It was right when Crazy started to go crazy, pardon the pun. (But) it's impossible not to be seduced by it (the track), isn't it?"
