Welsh singer KATHERINE JENKINS successfully fought off a man who attacked and attempted to rape her, shortly after she first moved to London.
The opera star was left terrified after the attack, just weeks into her first term at the Royal Academy of Music.
Jenkins, 26, says, "I found London frightening and quite unsafe. I got attacked and it scared the life out of me. I had just got off the bus and I think this man tried to rape me. You never know whether you will freeze or fight - but I fought him off."
