PHILLIPE: 'I DIDN'T DESTROY MY MARRIAGE'

Actor RYAN PHILLIPPE refuses to accept full responsibility for the breakdown of his seven-year marriage to REESE WITHERSPOON, but admits he's not a 'perfect person'.

The FLAGS OF OUR FATHER star married the Oscar-winner Witherspoon in 1999 and they have two children together - seven-year-old AVA and three-year-old DEACON - but they split in October (06) amidst rumours Phillipe's partying and flirting destroyed their relationship.

However, Phillipe insists the rumours are untrue, saying, "I'm not a perfect person. (But) I'm not guilty of a lot of things I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family."
