HAYEK'S DOG SAVES HER LIFE

SALMA HAYEK has her dog DIVA to thank for saving her life hours before the Golden Globe Awards on Monday (15JAN07) after the pooch alerted her to a gas leak.

The actress was trying to sleep off a headache when Diva woke her up by grabbing at her sleeve - and attempted to get Hayek out of the house.

A groggy Hayek immediately smelled gas as fumes filled her home.

The day got much better for Hayek - UGLY BETTY, the hit series she produces, claimed two Golden Globes, including Best Television Comedy.
