British music mogul ANTHONY WILSON is recovering in hospital after undergoing life-saving surgery to remove a kidney.
The 56-year-old, who launched the careers of HAPPY MONDAYS and NEW ORDER, had been complaining of pain in his back and stomach when he was rushed into hospital.
He was released the day after the operation and is recovering at his home in Manchester, England, with his partner, former beauty queen YVETTE LIVESEY.
Wilson's spokesman VIVIENNE CLORE, says, "We still have no idea what exactly was wrong with Tony's kidney, but he had been ill and doctors said it had to be removed immediately.
"He asked me to tell you that he is feeling better already."
