BALLERINA DANCES THROUGH PROTEST

The English National Ballet has become the centre of a political storm after one of the company's dancers revealed she supported the right-wing British National Party.

SIMONE CLARKE, 36, is the current lead in GISELLE at the London Coliseum but found herself heckled by a group of outraged anti-racism campaigners ahead of her performance on Friday night (12JAN07).

Later, her dancing was interrupted on stage when two audience members stood up to shout slogans. They were removed by security.
