YVONNE DE CARLO, who played LILY MUNSTER in the hit 1960s sitcom THE MUNSTERS, has died. She was 84.
The actress died of natural causes on Monday (08JAN07) in Los Angeles.
De Carlo was also known for playing the wife of MOSES (CHARLTON HESTON) in CECIL B DeMILLE's epic 1956 film THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
She also had a key role in STEPHEN SONDHEIM's landmark Broadway musical FOLLIES and first made her mark on the big screen in B-movies and westerns for Universal Studios.
From 1955 to 1968 she was married to Hollywood stuntman BOB MORGAN, who was severely injured during the making of 1962's HOW THE WEST WAS WON.
De Carlo accepted the role of Lily Munster in order to pay for his extensive medical bills and the couple had two sons before divorcing.
