The brother of 1980s pop star TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY is set for his own chart career after signing a new record deal with Barclay Road, Inc.
The WISHING WELL singer's younger sibling DARREN fronts funk group DOGGYBAG, who have become the first act to be signed to the trendy label in 2007.
Barclay Road boss HERBERT BECKER says, "Darren and his band bring the same strong music, rhythms and lyrics that made Terence famous. I expect that Doggybag will outshine his older brother's music."
The group has some way to go - brother Terence's acclaimed 1987 debut, INTRODUCING THE HARDLINE ACCORDING TO TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY, sold 12 million copies worldwide.
