TYRESE UNDER INVESTIGATION AFTER DOMESTIC FIGHT

R&B star and actor TYRESE GIBSON is at the centre of a criminal investigation after punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach this morning (04JAN07).

Police sources in Los Angeles confirm the 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS star's live-in girlfriend, who is five months pregnant, called police claiming the singer had punched her in the stomach twice during a heated argument. Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the Hancock Park home the couple share.

Gibson, 28, had already left the scene. A police spokesperson says, "The girlfriend was taken to a local hospital, treated and released. There were no visible injuries."
