BACON ATTACKER WAS LOVE RIVAL TV STAR
LATEST: The man who beat up British radio DJ RICHARD BACON earlier this year (06) was Bravo TV sports presenter ANDY BURTON - Bacon's now girlfriend's ex lover, it has been revealed.
Burton pleaded guilty to assault at the City of Westminster magistrates court in London on Monday (11DEC06).
Bacon, 31, was followed by Burton in August from London radio station XFM to the Garrick Arms pub in Charing Cross, where he was subsequently attacked in the toilets.
Bacon had split with his longterm love and former BLUE PETER co-presenter KONNIE HUQ at the time of the assault, but had not yet started officially romancing MacFarlane.
A police source says, "Burton had got it into his head that Bacon and his ex-partner were having an affair."
Bacon refused to comment. Burton will be sentenced in March (07).
