PIPER SPLITS WITH SOWE

British actress BILLIE PIPER has reportedly split up with her longterm boyfriend AMADU SOWE.

The former DOCTOR WHO star had a close relationship with Sowe for two years, but the pair have since grown apart, according to British newspaper the News of the World.

She reportedly told pals, "It's really sad. I'm upset but it had just run its course."

She wrote of Sowe in the credits of her recent book GROWING PAINS: "You're a very special soul and I hope we're in each other's lives for a very long time."

A close pal of the star says, "It was a bit of a shock. We thought they were going to be together for ever.

"They got on so well so we're sure they'll still be friends."
