NEW ALBUM FROM SLAIN RAPPER TO BE RELEASED

Slain rapper PROOF's record label will release a new album next year (07), featuring 18 songs he recorded in a 24-hour period in January (06).

The musician, real name DESHAUN HOLTON, was a close friend of EMINEM. He was shot and killed during a dispute at the after-hours CCC club in Detroit, Michigan in April (06).

The D12 rapper recorded TIME A TELL after he was challenged by his friend JULIUS MYERS, also known as DJ JEWELS BABY, to write and record an entire album in a day.

The disc will document the recording session at Myers' home studio in Detroit.

Myers tells The Detroit News, "It shows how serious Proof was about recording."

Time a Tell will be released by Iron Fist Records, which was founded by Proof. His debut solo album SEARCHING FOR JERRY GARCIA was released in August 2005.
