BALDWIN FAMILY IN COURT OVER 10-YEAR-OLD PHOTO ROW

The BALDWIN family is at the centre of a new court battle in New York as a photographer attempts to sue brothers ALEC, BILLY, DANIEL and STEPHEN for allegedly pulling out of a family portrait deal.

Snapper and publicist JAMES EDSTROM claims the brothers and their mother cost him a $100,000 (GBP51,300) payday when they snubbed him in a planned deal 10 years ago (96).

In court in Long Island, New York, on Wednesday (13DEC06), Edstrom maintained the family backed out of a planned picture of all four acting brothers - a claim the Baldwin matriarch CAROL and her lawyers insist was never a firm deal.

Edstrom claims Carol Baldwin agreed to arrange the photoshoot as a thank you for the work he'd done organising a fundraiser for her breast cancer charity.

But the portrait never happened and, instead, another photographer got the image.

Carol Baldwin and one of her four sons are expected to testify in the ongoing trial.
