RICHIE 'ARRESTED FOR DUI'

NICOLE RICHIE was reportedly arrested for driving under the influence of drugs in Burbank, California in the early hours of this morning (11DEC06).

According to website TMZ.com, THE SIMPLE LIFE star was stopped by the California Highway Patrol on the 134 Freeway after other drivers spotted her in the wrong lane.

The website claims Richie, 25, confessed to law enforcement officers she had smoked mairjuana and taken pain killer Vicodin.

She was taken to a police station, where an alcohol test showed she was not over the legal limit. She was released 45 minutes later, at 5.35am (PST).

A spokesperson for Richie has yet to comment.
