SNOOP DOGG ARRAIGNMENT POSTPONED
LATEST: The arraignment for rapper SNOOP DOGG on a felony charge of possession of a deadly weapon has been postponed until January 24 (07).
The rapper, real name CALVIN BROADUS, appeared in court yesterday (04DEC06) after he was accused of carrying a banned collapsible baton in his luggage.
The 35-year-old was arrested at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California in September (06) and faces three years in jail if convicted.
It's not the first time the hip-hop star has brushed with the wrong side of the law. He was also arrested at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California in October (06) for allegedly carrying an illegal handgun and possessing marijuana.
And just last week (28NOV06), Burbank police arrested him on drug and weapons charges after he taped an appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO.
