URBAN STILL IN REHAB

LATEST: Country star KEITH URBAN's rehab release has been prematurely announced, according to his publicist.

The singer checked himself into counselling sessions in October (06) after confessing he'd relapsed into alcoholism and, despite reports to the contrary, he's still there.

Reports of Urban's recovery and release came after he was spotted dining in Los Angeles with wife NICOLE KIDMAN over the weekend (03DEC06).

But his publicist, PAUL FREUNDLICH, is keen to confirm Urban is still fighting his demons at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs, California.

In a statement, he reveals, "At this stage in (Keith's) treatment, patients are occasionally allowed to leave (rehab) for short periods of time.

"Keith is not out of rehab and is not back home in Nashville."
