BASS BREAKS UP WITH BOYFRIEND

Former 'N SYNC star LANCE BASS and boyfriend REICHEN LEHMKUHL have decided to end their relationship.

Bass announced that he is gay in a cover story for American publication People in July (06).

He also confirmed at the time that he was in a committed relationship with Lehmkuhl, a former reality TV star.

Bass' representative, CINDY OWEN, confirms to entertainment website TMZ.com, "They have broken up."

Sources close to the couple tell celebrity blogger PEREZ HILTON, the split happened very recently and that it was a mutual decision.

Says one source, "They had been fighting a lot lately. They tried a lot of things to make it work - even opening up the relationship - but they would just fight all the time towards the end. It wasn't working."
