POLICE REINVESTIGATE DEATH AT BRITISH TV STAR'S HOUSE

British detectives have launched a new investigation into a man's death at the home of British TV personality MICHAEL BARRYMORE.

STUART LUBBOCK was found dead in a swimming pool at Barrymore's Essex, England home in March 2001, with traces of alcohol, ecstasy and cocaine in his bloodstream. Post mortem tests also showed he had suffered severe internal injuries which suggested sexual assault.

After a lengthy investigation by local police no-one was charged in connection with his death, with a coroner recording an open verdict at the 2002 inquest.

Police say the decision to reinvestigate Lubbock's death was sparked by a review of the initial inquiry.
