FREEMAN STUNNED BY FORGOTTEN AD

MORGAN FREEMAN had a surprise when he appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW in America on Thursday (30NOV06) - he was shown a Listerine TV commercial he'd forgotten he'd been a part of.

Host JAY LENO is famous for digging out obscure TV ads featuring the guests on his show, but he wasn't so sure he'd found a rare black and white mouthwash ad starring a young Freeman after the Oscar winner insisted he'd never made such a commercial.

But Leno was so convinced the telephone repair engineer in the ad was the SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION star, he ran the commercial and urged Freeman to take a close look.

The baffled actor was left scratching his head when the man in the ad was clearly his younger self.

He told Leno, "I've forgotten all about that. OK, so I did a Listerine commercial?"
