SPEARS SEARCHES FOR NEW HOLLYWOOD HOME

Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS is leaving Malibu, California behind and is searching for a new home in Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills.

Spears, who filed for divorce from KEVIN FEDERLINE earlier this month (NOV06), sold her previous home in the Hollywood Hills for close to $4 million (GBP2.2 million) in 2003.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Spears wants to move back to town instead of living in the celebrity beachside suburb of Malibu and is looking for a new home in the $7 million range (GBP4 million).

After she finds a home she wants to buy, Spears is expected to officially put her Malibu property, where she has been living with Federline since 2004, on the market. Spears purchased the eight-bedroom home for nearly $6.9 million (GBP3.8 million).

The gated property has been described as a "mini-resort" and features a tennis court, pool, spa, gym, gardens and outdoor kitchen.
