Actress/singer KRISTIN CHENOWETH's updated version of festive favourite O HOLY NIGHT is extra special to her because it was recorded a day after the death of her grandmother.

The former WEST WING star recorded the funked-up classic tune with GEORGE CLINTON for the soundtrack of her new Christmas movie DECK THE HALLS, and she can't listen to her new version without thinking about her late relative.
She says, "I went in the studio and we did a simple version. I hadn't had much sleep. My grandmother had just passed away the night before and I went in and kind of had that raspy quality in the recording studio and it worked. I love the song."
