WAINWRIGHT TO TAKE GARLAND SHOW TO PARIS AND HOLLYWOOD

LATEST: RUFUS WAINWRIGHT is taking his celebrated JUDY GARLAND show to Paris, France with his sights set on the Hollywood Bowl.

The singer recreated his heroine's legendary 1961 Carnegie Hall concert at the famous New York venue in June (06) and recently announced plans to present the show at the London Palladium in February (07).

But now he has added Paris' L'Olympia to his short European tour.

Garland performed the set she wowed Carnegie Hall with at the two European venues.

And that's not all - a Garland concert at the Hollywood Bowl is also being planned.

All shows will feature Wainwright crooning tunes like SWANEE and SAN FRANCISCO backed by a 40-piece orchestra.
