BEATLES MEMORABILIA TO GO ON SALE

A guitar owned by GEORGE HARRISON valued at $180,000 (GBP100,000) and a psychedelic coat made-to-measure for JOHN LENNON are to go on sale on 30 November at an auction of BEATLES memorabilia.

Harrison played the coveted Maton MS500 Mastersound on the iconic band's 1963 debut LP PLEASE PLEASE ME, while Lennon's hand-painted jacket is expected to sell for $81,000 (GBP45,000) at the Cooper Owen's Music Legends auction at London's Air Studios.

Also up for sale is a grey shirt Lennon gave to a fan when they were locked in a bathroom together at the height of Beatlemania.
