STONE BREAKS DOWN IN TEARS ON STAGE

British soul star JOSS STONE found herself in a flood of tears during a recent performance when a song brought back maternal memories.

The YOU HAD ME singer was overcome with emotion after dedicating (YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A) NATURAL WOMAN to mum WENDY STOKER at Ronnie Scotts jazz club in London on Thursday (16NOV06).

Stone decided to perform the ARETHA FRANKLIN hit as a thank you to Stoker for her support over the years.

She says, "It's the song I sang for my first audition. She was with me, and believed in me all the way."
