LATEST: JANET ARVIZO, the mother of the MICHAEL JACKSON's child abuse accuser, has pleaded no contest to a welfare charge in Los Angeles.
Arvizo was told yesterday (13NOV06) she will not have to appear in court for sentencing next April (07) if she completes 150 hours of community service and pays $8,600 (GBP4,800) in restitution.
In June 2005, Jackson was acquitted of all charges of child molestation and intoxication of a minor involving Arvizo's then son GAVIN.
During Jackson's trial, Arvizo invoked the Fifth Amendment regarding her welfare fraud, which allowed her not to comment on the allegations and incriminate herself.
