BORAT BOSSES SUED BY US COLLEGE STUDENTS

Two college students are suing the movie bosses behind British comedian SACHA BARON COHEN's hit film BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN for making them look stupid on camera.

The two men, referred to as John Doe 1 and John Doe 2, insist Cohen assured them his movie would not be shown in the US and they agreed to take part in a skit.

But the film, about a hapless Kazakhstan TV journalist making his way across America, has not only been released in the US - it's the country's most talked about comedy hit of the year, and it's currently the number one film.

In court documents filed yesterday (09NOV06) in Los Angeles, and obtained by news website TMZ.com, the two anonymous plaintiffs are suing 20th Century Fox and One America Productions.

They explain they agreed to appear in a heavy-drinking scene in BORAT only after comic Cohen told them their parents, families and friends would not see the film.

The two men claim they suffered "humiliation, mental anguish, and emotional and physical distress" after appearing with Cohen in one scene where they get drunk and watch the PAMELA ANDERSON/TOMMY LEE sex tape together.
