British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS has been rejected by the band he walked out on in 1995, who insist ''we don't need him''.

Despite Williams' troubles though, singer HOWARD DONALD is in no mood for a reconciliation.
He says, "To let somebody in who you don't know what's going on in their head is not a good idea.
"If we have big success with this album - really big success - then to let him back when we don't really know him any more would be a mistake.
"The others (bandmates) may have some opinions on this, but I don't think we need him."
