LATEST: SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has reportedly spent GBP200,000 ($380,000) to secure the content of 20 hours of audio recordings made by his late first wife LINDA.
Photographs of the former BEATLE meeting Linda's close friend and literary agent PETER COX in a London cafe on Wednesday (01NOV06) have been published in British newspaper The Mail On Sunday.
According to the photos, Cox arrived carrying a large envelope - believed to contain the tapes - before McCartney left with it.
Cox co-wrote the book LINDA McCARTNEY'S HOME COOKING in 1989 and was given the 15 cassettes, an audio record of her ideas.
However, the tapes also allegedly contain revelations of her marriage to McCartney, which he now wants kept secret in light of his bitter divorce battle with HEATHER MILLS.
