STREISAND STAYS WITH ROSIE

BARBRA STREISAND superfan ROSIE O'DONNELL thought she had died and gone to heaven when she was offered the chance to host the diva in her Miami, Florida home.

Streisand's assistant contacted the US TV star when hotel bookings for Streisand fell through earlier this week (ends03NOV06) leaving the singer without a place to stay after her concert in the city.

O'Donnell reveals, "I got a call from her assistant to my assistant: 'Did we know of anyone who had a house in the Miami area?'

"I have a movie star mansion there... I said, 'Please Lord, yes.'

"We had to warn her that I have a 20-foot by 10-foot poster of (Streisand film) FUNNY GIRL from Israel hanging... on my stairs.

"She came to the house and she's staying there and I wasn't allowed to tell anyone until she left."

O'Donnell has been given special access to Streisand on her latest farewell tour - she's filming a documentary called STALKING STREISAND.
