British pop star HARRY JUDD has offered to take a lie detector test on OPRAH WINFREY's US talk show to prove he slept with Hollywood actress LINDSAY LOHAN.

Judd, the drummer in British pop act McFLY, boasts he slept with the MEAN GIRLS star while they were filming Disney comedy JUST MY LUCK together last year (05), but Lohan has consistently denied his claims.
He pledges, "I'll go on OPRAH with Lindsay and do a live lie detector test. That'll prove who's telling the truth."

OASIS rocker LIAM GALLAGHER launched a foul-mouthed tirade against British radio presenter CHRISTIAN O'CONNELL live on air yesterday (27OCT06).
The rock hellraiser called into London station Virgin Radio with his friend SCULLY to try and win GBP10,000 ($18,000) for charity, but DJ O'Connell refused to believe it was really Gallagher on the line, repeatedly telling him to "p**s off".
Gallagher ranted, "It's not a pub quiz man, it's me."
After Gallagher sent in a picture message showing himself with Scully, and asked girlfriend NICOLE APPLETON to come on the line to confirm his identity, O'Connell told him he'd only win the cash prize if he agreed to give a performance for the radio station.
Gallagher fumed, before hanging up, "It's gonna cost you a lot more than ten grand (thousand) to get me singing mate."

MILLS' EX-HUSBAND: 'HEATHER BEAT ME UP'
The ex-husband of HEATHER MILLS has leaped to the defence of SIR PAUL McCARTNEY in his forthcoming divorce battle, insisting the former model repeatedly attacked him during their two-year marriage.

Businessman ALFIE KARMAL was stunned to read alleged leaked documents in the British press claiming the former BEATLE physically and verbally abused Mills.
Karmal brands Mills a "compulsive liar" and insists she is far more likely to resort to domestic violence than the singer.
He recalls, "We had a lot of rows, then she'd attack and slap me. Attack is the best form of defence for Heather.
"She kicked me off a bed once. I was kneeling and she kicked me in the chest, knocking me off backwards. It was really painful. I never hit Heather back, but I felt like it sometimes."
Karmal also claims he sent Mills to a psychologist to deal with her "truth issues" during the relationship, insisting, "It wouldn't surprise me if she made everything up. She is a compulsive liar."
Karmal, 48, split from Mills in 1991 after just 20 months together.

BABY NUMBER EIGHT FOR IGLESIAS
Spanish singer JULIO IGLESIAS is following in his father's footsteps - by becoming a pensioner dad.
The 63-year-old star is expecting his eighth child in April (07) after Dutch wife MIRANDA RIJNSBURGER revealed she is pregnant with the couple's fifth child.
Iglesias already has three grown-up children from his first marriage to ISABEL PREYSLER, including pop star ENRIQUE.
His own father became a dad again aged 88 and died last year (05), aged 90, shortly before his wife gave birth to their second.

50 CENT COPYRIGHT CASE DISMISSED
Rapper 50 CENT has seen a copyright infringement case against him dropped after a Miami, Florida judge ruled his 2003 hit IN DA CLUB bears little resemblance to a song by former 2 LIVE CREW frontman LUTHER CAMPBELL.

The hip-hop star - real name CURTIS JACKSON - was accused of stealing the opening line of the track from Campbell's 1994 song IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY.
However, US District Judge PAUL C HUCK declared yesterday (27OCT06) the disputed phrase was a "common, unoriginal, and noncopyrightable element of the song" and was not entitled to copyright protection.
He added that, apart from the opening phrase, the tracks were widely different.
The original lawsuit was filed in Miami federal court in January (06) and alleged 50 Cent only changed one word from the opening line of Campbell's song. After repeating the word "go" several times, "Sheila" becomes "shorty" in the line, "Go shorty, it's your birthday."
Campbell's track appeared on his solo album STILL A FREAK FOR LIFE.

Actress SHAWNEE SMITH struggled to sleep while making horror movie sequel SAW III because images from the gory film set kept her awake at night.

The pretty brunette fought insomnia throughout the shoot but eventually discovered she could nod off if she went for a walk and changed nappies.
She explains, "I had full on insomnia making Saw III just from the images. I'd put my head on the pillow and there were those images.
"The subconscious doesn't know the difference from reality to fantasy. In my personal life I don't value being very emotional or reactionary but when I'm working I rile myself up and heighten my responses. So at the end of the day there's a kind of winding down.
"I found it helpful to come home to the kids and change a diaper. They rented me a nice little house in Toronto in a nice neighbourhood and we'd go for a walk. That helped."

Reid inadvertently showed off her misshaped left breast when it popped out on the red carpet at rap star SEAN 'DIDDY' COMB's 35th birthday party.
She recalls, "I became known as having the ugliest breast in the world. I was already doing the suffering of what it looked like, the last thing I wanted to happen was the whole world to see that.
"Instead of being a circle, it turned out to be a large square. It was horrifying... It was very irregular, long, like a goose egg shape. Terrible."
Reid has decided not to sue the surgeon who botched the work, accepting she should have conducted more research before going under the knife.
She adds, "I heard that this person was good... It's Hollywood and you think everyone in Beverly Hills is pretty good. You pay for what you get in life and you just need to do research and I didn't."

"It would be better if she practised safe sex until she and her partner are absolutely sure they will maintain a monogamous relationship."
But Johansson has fired back at the remarks suggesting she's being unfaithful, insisting, "There seems to be a mistaken belief out there that I am sexually available somehow, but when I am in a relationship, I'm in a relationship."

Actress HOLLY MARIE COMBS is a mum again after giving birth to her second child on Thursday (26OCT06).

The CHARMED star and her husband, DAVID DONOHO, welcomed baby RILEY into the world in Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
According to US publication People, little Riley weighed in at 8.5 pounds (3.8 kilograms).
Proud dad Donoho tells the magazine, "Everybody's great. Holly is tired, but she's fine. Riley came right out and, as soon as he heard Holly's voice, he smiled."

THE WHO rocker PETE TOWNSHEND fears he's ruined his relationship with his mother after prompting her to reveal secrets from his youth.

The guitarist interviewed his mum for his novella THE BOY WHO HEARD MUSIC and was stunned by what she told him.
Townshend isn't going into details, but admits that his mother's revelations and her subsequent return to "active alcoholism" has driven a wedge between them.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "My mother was very very brave to reveal some incidents in my childhood to me when I interviewed her some years ago.
"I was grateful to her. She didn't come out looking like the perfect young post-war mother but I felt she had made up for it by being steadier with my two younger brothers, and by staying wildly married to my father until his death.
"However, I think she felt quite a bit of pain at relating what had happened to me as a little kid, and communication between us has been quite strained ever since."

Rocker PETE TOWNSHEND has revealed that friction between ROGER DALTREY and JOHN ENTWISTLE held up the release of THE WHO's comeback album - because the late bass player refused to let the singer hear raw tracks he had written.

Townshend was stunned when Entwistle revealed he'd penned several new The Who songs at a band press conference in 2000 because, at the time, there were no plans to record a new album.
Charged by the announcement, the guitarist set about getting his bandmates in the studio but discovered Entwistle didn't want to get together with Daltrey.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I went to John and said, 'Have you (really) written any songs?' He said, 'Yeah, I've got 'undreds. But I'm not playing them to him.'
"I said, 'Who's him?' And he said, 'Roger. I'm not having my songs sniffed out by him.' And that was that."
Townshend and Daltrey eventually recorded new material after Entwistle died in 2002 and the end result, ENDLESS WIRE, is the group's first new studio album in 24 years."

The DREAMS hitmaker, real name JAYCEON TAYLOR, instinctively feels hospitals are bad places for rappers after dreaming about EAZY-E and TUPAC SHAKUR's final hours.
The Game has a conspiracy theory that his dead heroes would still be alive today if they didn't end up in hospital.
He tells Complex magazine, "I have nightmares of being in the car with SUGE (KNIGHT) and sitting in Tupac's position. I wake up trying to rationalise and analyse the situations or think about how Pac really died. What don't people know?
"Maybe I should go back to sleep and meet Pac in my dream and ask him.
"It f**ks you up inside when you don't know and can't figure out what happened, like how did Eazy-E die?
"Did Eazy really die from AIDS? If he died from AIDS, how come his wife doesn't have AIDS, and I'm pretty sure he banged her out a week before he went to the hospital... How come none of his kids have AIDS?
"No girlfriends after Eazy died - not one person came to light and said, 'He gave me AIDS?' Now, if Eazy had AIDS for real, how come nobody came forth for some money?
"It sounds like some internal murder to me. That's my biggest nightmare, man - going to the hospital and somebody trying to do something... I don't f**king go to the hospital."

"As a kid, I can remember spending 10 bucks to see BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD. Nothing is worth 250 bucks. I don't care who you are. It just puts pressure on me.
"Thirty-five bucks I can deal with that, but, for 250 bucks, I better come out covered in gold."

DEAD STAR LESH BATTLING CANCER
GRATEFUL DEAD star PHIL LESH is battling prostate cancer.

The 66-year-old rocker has posted his painful announcement on his website, explaining he'll undergo surgery in December (06).
He writes, "I fully expect to have a rapid and complete recovery. I am feeling energetic as always, and all my scheduled appearances will occur as planned."
His diagnosis has prompted Lesh to urge fans to take prostate cancer seriously.
He adds, "Speak to your doctor about having periodic regular PSA screening for early detection of prostate cancer. You may save your own life."

LATEST: A Berlin opera company's production of a WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART opera will go ahead after performances received a new security assessment from the police.
IDOMENEO features the severed heads of the Prophet Muhammad, Jesus and Buddha in one scene, and was axed by the Deutsche Oper last month (SEP06) over fears it would provoke a Muslim backlash and incite violence. Islam considers any image of the prophet to be blasphemous.
However, the Deutsche Oper has decided to stage the production after police advised its staff faced "no concrete danger" if performances went ahead, and promised to review security measures before each performance.
A statement from the opera company said it "had begun without delay the relevant preparations for reviving the opera".

EVANS NANNY STRUGGLING WITH ANOREXIA AGAIN
The anorexic former nanny named in country star SARA EVANS' divorce papers is fighting for her life after suffering a relapse in her eating disorder fight.
ALISON CLINTON had to quit her job as the singer's nanny when her obsessive dieting turned her into a 69-pound (31.2 kilogram) anorexic and, after initially winning her battle, she's losing weight again.
Clinton, who learned on Thursday (26OCT06) that she was no longer being named 'the other woman' in Evans' divorce from CRAIG SCHELSKE, has lost five pounds (2.26 kilograms) since the country star filed papers accusing her former friend of romancing her husband.
Speaking exclusively to US news show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, the former nanny says, "This is my life right now and it's very depressing.
"I'm supposed to weigh around 110 (pounds) and right now I'm around 80... I'm falling apart here."

COUNTRY STAR FRANKS DEAD AT 86
Country music songwriter TILLMAN FRANKS has lost his battle with a lengthy illness. He was 86.
Franks penned country favourite HONKY-TONK MAN and also made a name for himself as a musician, promoter and manager.
He began his career as a bassist with the Louisiana Hayride show favourites the BAILES BROTHERS in the 1940s and later toured with FARON YOUNG before becoming the head of the Louisiana Hayride Artist Bureau.
Among the acts he later managed were SLIM WHITMAN, JOHNNY HORTON and JIMMY C NEWMAN.
He co-wrote Horton's 1956 song Honky-Tonk Man, which was rerecorded as a hit by DWIGHT YOAKAM.
Franks was injured in a 1960 car crash in Texas that claimed Horton's life.
