EVANS AND SCHELSKE AGREE TO SHARE MONEY

LATEST: Country singer SARA EVANS and her estranged husband CRAIG SCHELSKE yesterday (26OCT06) agreed in court to share money he had withdrawn from a joint bank account.

The feuding couple faced off against one another in Williamson County Courthouse in Tennessee - two weeks after Evans filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years.

The CHEATIN' singer and Schelske also agreed to arrange a visitation schedule for their three children.

They were given $137,000 (GBP76,100) from their joint account, so they could make personal arrangements concerning accommodation.

Schelske told the court he planned to use the money to find an apartment to live in during the divorce trial.

The hearing was stalled for 15 minutes as officials decided whether or not to allow media to report on the trial from inside the courtroom.

Despite reservations concerning exposure to the couple's three kids, a small army of photographers, cameramen and reporters were allowed to stay in court.

The court judge ruled that the former couple is barred from excessive drinking or fighting in front of their kids during the divorce trial. He also kept a restraining order in place, aimed at keeping Evans and Schelske apart.
