British actor PETER BARKWORTH has died of bronchopneumonia 10 days after suffering a stroke. He was 77.
Barkworth passed away at the Royal Free Hospital in London on Saturday (21OCT06).
During a career that spanned nearly 40 years, Barkworth appeared in movies including WHERE EAGLES DARE and PATTON, and seminal TV shows DOCTOR WHO and THE AVENGERS.
He is best known in his native UK for the 1979 television series TELFORD'S CHANGE.
Barkworth is survived by his sister HAZEL.
