HEIGL AMAZED SET FIGHT LASTED JUST MINUTES

Actress KATHERINE HEIGL is playing down the on-set spat between her GREY'S ANATOMY co-stars PATRICK DEMPSEY and ISAIAH WASHINGTON, insisting she's amazed the two actors were able to patch up their differences so quickly.

The actress, who plays IZZIE STEVENS on the hit medical drama series, admits that if the much-publicised fight was between her and another female castmate, the feud would have lasted for years.

She says, "There was some scuffle... I was on the stairs reading the script or something, so I don't know what the fight was about. It was something silly and manly.

"There was a little burst of testosterone in the room and then within five minutes everything was totally fine and they were totally fine and they're joking with each other and laughing.

"I just couldn't get over the idea that if it had been women, we wouldn't be speaking for years; you do not get over that stuff in two or three minutes. That takes years and years of therapy and counselling."
