FABOLOUS ALBUM BROUGHT FORWARD AMID SHOOTING SCANDAL
LATEST: The scandal surrounding FABOLOUS' shooting arrest last week (ends20OCT06) has spurred on the rapper's career - his new album is being rush-released to cash in on the publicity.

The hip-hop star, real name JOHN JACKSON, was shot and wounded in an altercation outside SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS' restaurant Justin's in New York last Tuesday (17OCT06) morning.
Fabolous and members of his entourage were arrested with criminal possession of a weapon when police caught them speeding from the scene. The rapper and his pals have since been charged and released on bail.
And now executives at the Def Jam record label have announced they are bringing forward his new album, FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING, and releasing it at Christmas (26DEC06).
The news comes just two weeks after Fabolous told MTV Radio he wanted the album to come out in February (07) to avoid a rush of rap releases in December (06).
