LAU'S TEMPER SCUPPERS DIRECTING CAREER

Hong Kong action star ANDY LAU refuses to move into directing because his wild temper would prompt both cast and crew to walk out on him.

The heart-throb, famed for his villainous turns in INFERNAL AFFAIRS and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS, insists there are already enough talented film-makers, and actors should stick to what they know best.

He says, " I scold people. I sometimes have a bad temper. If shooting isn't going well and I can't control my temper, I may offend a lot of people.

"Also, there are a lot of good directors. If people like me perform well in front of the camera, we shouldn't force ourselves into directing."
