CONDUCTOR OZAWA CANCELS PARIS CONCERTS

Acclaimed Japanese conductor SEIJI OZAWA has been forced to pull out of two concerts in Paris scheduled for next month (NOV06), due to ill health.

The 71-year-old has cancelled his 28 November show with France's National Orchestra at the prestigious Theatre Des Champs-Elysees, while Romanian ION MARIN will take over for the 30 November concert at the same venue.

Details of Ozawa's condition have been withheld - but he was forced to cancel a series of performances with the Vienna State Opera earlier this year when he was hospitalised suffering from bronchitis.
