PARIS AND NICOLE'S TEMPESTUOUS PAST

LATEST: Newly reconciled THE SIMPLE LIFE stars PARIS HILTON and NICOLE RICHIE have a long history of falling out and making up, according to Nicole's soul star dad LIONEL.

The pair fell out after Richie reportedly screened Hilton's infamous sex tape during a party at her house in early 2005.

They filmed subsequent The Simple Life shows separately, but they appear to have patched up their friendship after enjoying a meal together at Dan Tana's Steakhouse in Los Angeles on Sunday night (08OCT06).

And Lionel had no doubt about the reconciliation: "When they were four, it was, 'Dad, we're not friends.'

"When they were six, it was, 'We're not speaking.' Then they get back together and they cause even more havoc."
