MADONNA TAKING UP LONGTERM RESIDENCE IN MALAWI

Pop superstar MADONNA is taking up longterm residence in the Malawi as she works on her project to provide food, shelter and education for 4,000 children orphaned by AIDS.

The HUNG UP singer has dismissed rumours she is set to adopt a boy, but is set to stay in the African country's exclusive Kumbali Lodge for an extended period of time as she works on her Raising Malawi initiatives.

Her chief bodyguard - known only as STEVE - says, "We are not leaving soon. We are here for a while."

The 48-year-old has already donated copies of her debut children's story THE ENGLISH ROSES to orphans in Blantyre, and visited a number of other orphanages.
