BASINGER SUED BY BALDWIN

LATEST: Oscar-winner KIM BASINGER has been arraigned in a Los Angeles courtroom on contempt charges.

The star's ex-husband ALEC BALDWIN instigated the proceedings by alleging that Basinger is guilty of several violations in their ongoing custody battle over 10-year-old daughter IRELAND.

Baldwin claims Basinger blocked his visitation rights, blocked his rights to speak with his daughter on the telephone and failed to notify him when the child suffered an injury.

According to entertainment website TMZ.com, the LA CONFIDENTIAL star pled not guilty through her lawyer NEIL HERSH. She did not appear for the arraignment.

The couple divorced in 2002 and have been engaged in an ongoing battle over raising their daughter.

Basinger faces 12 counts of contempt, with each count carrying a maximum penalty of $1,000 (GBP555).
