PIPER STARVED HERSELF AFTER FAT JIBES

TV star BILLIE PIPER starved herself for days after she overheard a presenter at an award ceremony call her fat.

An unnamed celebrity unwittingly triggered the former DOCTOR WHO star's anorexia at music awards ceremony the Brit Awards in 1999.

The former pop star was already having a miserable night after leaving the show without any trophies, when she heard the comments from one of the presenters.

Piper says, "I overheard a presenter saying I looked fat. I was gutted. No 16 year old can hear a comment like that and not be diced by it.

"I went home - awardless - feeling less sure of myself than ever before. I didn't look good as other artists or sound as good."
