LEE'S PRAYERS IN THE PRINCESS ROOM HELPED SICK GUITARIST

EVANESCENCE star AMY LEE staged a late-night vigil in her pink "princess room" when guitarist TERRY BALSAMO suffered a stroke last year (05).

Balsamo's condition was made terrible when it became clear that he had no medical insurance, and, as papers were signed to make sure he got the best treatment, the rocker came closer to death.

Singer Lee recalls, "It was a horrifying experience... It was hell.

"This is so silly, but he had a room in my house - it was a little guest room that I'd jokingly painted pink, with feather boas on the mirrors. I called it 'the princess room.'

"That night I slept in his room. I just put on PINK FLOYD's (album) DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, and stayed up all night praying and thinking about him and what was going to happen."

Balsamo has since recovered from his health crisis.
