COLDPLAY TO TAKE FIVE-YEAR HIATUS?

British rockers COLDPLAY are set to take five-year hiatus from recording to concentrate on their families.

Following the success of their chart-topping third album X+Y, frontman CHRIS MARTIN is desperate to spend quality time with wife GWYNETH PALTROW raising their children APPLE and MOSES.

Coldplay bassist GUY BERRYMAN welcomed baby daughter NICO into the world earlier this month (SEP06), and is also keen to turn his attention to being a family man.

Martin says, "It's going to be a long, long time before you hear a new album from us. We've done a few things, but we're all enjoying having families at the moment.

"If it takes five years for us to feel ready to record something new, then so be it. We need plenty of time to let it come together organically."
