AIKEN REFUSES TO ADDRESS GAY RUMOURS

AMERICAN IDOL star CLAY AIKEN is refusing to comment on reports he's gay because he insists his sexuality is

The INVISIBLE singer has refused to deny tabloid reports he had sex with a former soldier, and though he has been happy to discuss the furore about his sexuality in recent TV interviews, he's not confirming or denying anything.

Instead he says, "That would not make any sense for me to do that... I've gotten to a point now where I feel it's kind of invasive.

"What I do in my private life is nobody's business anymore. Period."

He adds, "I don't understand why people care. I mean I kind of think... you do what you do, and I'll do what I do.

"I hope that I'm here to sing and be successful and do it well enough that people want to hear me and that's kind of what I want to do, you know.

"I think people get bored and they decide to make these stories up."
