ROMEO + JULIET star OLIVIA HUSSEY has received the coveted Mother Teresa Award for her portrayal of the late Indian humanitarian in a new film.
The actress, who also played the VIRGIN MARY in TV miniseries JESUS OF NAZARETH, received her honour from the St Bernadette Institute of Sacred Art after her new film MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA was screened in Thousand Oaks, California last week (ends22SEP06).
Mother Teresa's niece, AGI BOJAXHIU, flew in from Italy to present Hussey with her award.
Bojaxhiu admits the actress' honour was well deserved: "Olivia has really expressed the spirit of Mother Teresa."
