US rocker HENRY LEE SUMMER has been charged with a string of misdemeanours after police in Indianapolis had to stun him with a Taser to arrest him.
Officials were called to the 51-year-old HEY BABY singer's home when his SUV struck other vehicles and a residence in a mobile home court after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.
But the forgotten hitmaker, real name HENRY LEE SWARTZ, didn't want to go quietly.
He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and failing to stop after an accident and then released.
On his website, Summer has posted a statement insisting he did not resist officers.
But local authorities and neighbours are begging to differ. A resident of the court where Summer lives says, "Some words were exchanged, and then some hands went slinging, and then he got stung."
Deputies at the scene said they smelled no alcohol on Summer, but reported he seemed "visibly intoxicated".
