TILBROOK CONSIDERS ONE-OFF SQUEEZE REUNION

British rocker GLENN TILBROOK is considering a SQUEEZE reunion to mark his 50th birthday next year (07) but insists it will just be a one-off.

The group disbanded after a series of record label fall-outs and poorly received albums in the late 1990s, after initially splitting up in 1982 and regrouping in 1985.

And now Tilbrook admits he's ready to consider a one-off reunion because he has a better relationship with co-founder CHRIS DIFFORD than ever before.

He says, "We play every now and then together. It's really true that Chris and I now get on better than we did when we were in Squeeze. I'm better friends with him and I call him up and we meet regularly.

"It's really great to be like that with him. We're closer now because we don't have to deal with the things we did while working together. We're very different people.

"I love Chris dearly but I don't want to go back now. I'm not saying that's forever. Maybe when I'm 50 we'll do it. You never know."

And Tilbrook is thrilled to hear his old pal is attempting to conquer his fear of flying, which used to cripple him whenever Squeeze toured.

He adds, "Chris didn't like travelling, he hates flying. I found out that he'd been on a plane for the first time in nine years so hats off to him for doing that."
